Nebraska football has played, but never beaten these programs

Though the Huskers have one of the greatest winning traditions in college football, they are winless against these notable programs.

Nebraska vs. Ole Miss

Yet another team that Nebraskas is 0-1-0 against is Ole Miss out of the S.E.C. The only time these programs have squared off was in the 2002 Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisana.

That year, Nebraska was just 7-7 overall and 3-5 in Big 12 play. It was a disappointing season for head coach Frank Solich who was in year No. 5 on the job.

That's especially true given that just one year earlier, Solich had led Nebraska to an 11-2 mark and a Rose Bowl appearance. That season included a tie for 1st place in the Big 12 North.

2002 was a dud of a year, in Lincoln though. Of Nebraska's seven wins, three were against Troy, Utah State, and I-AA team Mcneese State. In fact, the Huskers didn't win one game against a ranked team that year. Though Solich would lead his program to a 9-3 record in the 2003 regular season, he was fired before the 2003 Alamo Bowl against Michigan State.
