Nebraska football has played, but never beaten these programs

Though the Huskers have one of the greatest winning traditions in college football, they are winless against these notable programs.

Nebraska vs. Georgia Tech

In 1990, the Huskers started out 8-0 before losing three of their final four games. The final of those losses was to No. 2 Georgia Tech in the Florida Citrus Bowl. That's the only time that the Huskers have met up with the Yellowjackets and it just happened to be in one of the years that Georgia Tech won one of its four National Championships.

This was a mediocre Nebraska team by Tom Osborne's standards. Going 9-3 overall, the Huskers finished tied for second in the Big 8 conference with Oklahoma and behind Colorado.

That season, Nebraska was ranked every week of the season. After opening as the No. 7 team, Osborne's bunch got to as high as No. 3 after beating Iowa State in late October.

However, a home loss to No. 9 Colorado and a road loss to unranked Oklahoma sandwiched around a win over Kansas would drop the Huskers to No. 19 in the polls. They would finish at No. 24, a disappointing result for a season that started with such promise.
