Never again doubt that the people putting together the NCAA Tournament feed don't have a sense of humor. They just did the funniest, or most painful thing possible for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The Huskers are going to be one of the 8-seeds next week. That isn't exactly a surprise, that is where most people had them once they lost in the semifinals of the Big 10 tournament. What is a bit of a surprise is that they'll be playing 9-seed Texas A&M.

Tell me that when the selection committee put that matchup together, they didn't all have a pretty good laugh. Maybe Trev Alberts isn't well liked among his peers, because it sure seems like they just gave him an opportunity to take some serious crap should the Aggies go down in the first round.

Of course, there is also a chance that the Trev Alberts Bowl has a chance to add a little bit more pain to what has been a painful exit of the Nebraska Cornhuskers' athletic director. Not only are people mad at him for leaving, they are concerned he left because his new boss, and the University President is going to be horribly unqualified.

Nebraska Cornhuskers have two big matchups on slate

Should the Huskers manage to win the Trev Alberts Bowl on Friday, their 8-seed status means they have to pull off a big upset in the second round. They'll play the winner of Houston and Longwood.

So, barring an insane upset in the first round, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will face off against the Houston Cougars

For those who think the Nebraska Cornhuskers might be feeling this game is more important than it really is, not long after the field was annonced, Trev Alberts himself made it clear he understood the importance of this game.
