Nebraska Cornhuskers star angrily calls out trivialization of female athletes

Count Nebraska Cornhuskers star Lindsay Krause among those who has had enough trivializing women’s sports by looking at the athletes as nothing more than sex symbols. She said as much last week during the Olympics.

Krause took to X in order to voice her displeasure at another social media account that was drooling over Olympic volleyball players. The Husker star clearly didn’t like that the players’ physiques were getting more attention than how talented they were at the sport.

Noted online sleazeball Matt Wallace was the target of the Nebraska Cornhuskers stars’ vitriol after he posted a clip he recorded off of television of a couple of Olympic volleyball teams celebrating points. “Whoever decided to make the ‘Butt Tap’ a thing in Women’s volleyball is a menace to society,” Wallace wrote alongside a laughing emoji.

Krause saw the post and let Wallace have it with a neat and quick takedown. 

“This is disgusting,” she wrote. “People will do literally anything in an attempt to objectify and trivialize female athletes and everything we work for. Absolutely ridiculous.”

While Krause’s comments didn’t seem to be confusing or misleading, her post drew quite a few people who decided they wanted to correct the female athlete, who might know a thing or two about how she and her fellow female athletes are treated.

“Stop, many athletes do the butt tap. It’s as old as sports itself. Give me a break,” one poster wrote, apparently not realizing the butt tap wasn’t what she was annoyed with.

“They're nearly naked...get a grip....Many people watch these athletes with the volume and their pants down. Stop trying to stifle human attraction. These are some of the greatest bodies and athletes in the world...enjoy accordingly,” wrote another total sleazeball who women should stay as far away from as possible.

Luckily, there were some who understood what the Nebraska Cornhuskers star was getting at. And understood the lack of integrity Matt Wallace possesses.
