Iowa coach whines again about loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers

Iowa's Lisa Bluder is having a very hard time getting over the fact that her Hawkeyes squad was upset by the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

It's safe to say that Lisa Bluder was not sending any valentines to the Nebraska Cornhuskers program on Wednesday. In fact, it appears there's very little love lost between the Iowa Hawkeyes head coach and Amy Williams' squad.

Bluder spoke ahead of Thursday's Iowa game, where Caitlyn Clark broke the record for points scored in a career and in part addressed the game where it looked like Clark would break it, until Nebraska went on an improbable run to pull off a massive upset.

In that upset, Bluder was annoyed by several things following the game, including the court storming and having to wait for her press conference. It's worth noting that she had to wait because she and her team were late coming out of the locker room.

If her comments on Wednesday were any indication, it appears they were late because they were having a tough time dealing with the loss. And dealing Clark needing just 9 points in the final quarter to break the record, and finishing with zero in that frame.

When she did finally come out of the locker room and Nebraska Cornhuskers players were already talking she lost her cool, screaming about how it wasn't Big Ten protocol. She yelled some other choice words as well.

"There's Big Ten protocol, but we didn't follow (it) before the game, during the game or after the game, so I'm not sure why we even have protocol if we're not going to follow it."

She also talked about the Nebraska Cornhuskers' fans storming the court. And the celebration by the players after they upset the second-ranked team in the country:

"I mean, you can see Nebraska, like they thought they won the national championship when they beat us. Right? It was like that important to them."

It feels like someone should have a little talk with Lisa Bluder. She doesn't take losing all that well.
