The Nebraska football staff has gone through some significant changes ahead of its final game of the 2025 campaign. When the Huskers take on Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl, Phil Snow will be running the defense despite the hiring of Rob Aurich last weekend. But who will be coaching the defensive line? According to Snow, it will be "an army" of coaches.

Snow made the comment when he was addressing the media on Friday. He talked about how he'll run the defensive unit while Aurich gets up to speed on the team. However, it's a team effort for the defensive line as the position is still in flux.

"We have an army. So, well, Coach Rule. So, guys, I've worked with Coach Rule a long time. So I told him he's got to put his hat on backwards and get out here and start coaching the D-line again. So him and Simpson have taken the tackles. Okay, I've recruited Ek (Mike Ekeler), Ek's coaching the ends; along with Ira Lewis, our quality control guy."

Snow was especially tickled to see Rhule really getting down to the nitty-gritty as a defensive line coach the last few weeks.

"It's fun to see Coach Rule coaching again. And if I was the D coordinator here, he'd be coaching every day, the D line. That's wherever I've been with him. He coached the individual with the D-line in some of the drills. He's a hell of a D-line coach, and that's what he should be doing. But I'm not the D coordinator anymore after this game. So we'll see what he does."

As the Nebraska football team gears up for its final game of the 2025 season, it's clear that the entire staff has taken an "all hands on deck" approach with Phil Snow calling the shots. All that seems like it will be an interesting show to watch on New Year's Eve.
