Big Ten Media Days are in full swing, and even though Nebraska has already had its time to shine, they are still being talked about. Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck was in front of the media yesterday and was asked about the Cornhuskers as the two teams will meet in the regular season, and the Golden Gophers coach actually threw some respect Nebraska's way.
"One of the most dangerous teams in the Big Ten is Nebraska," Fleck said.
That is some high praise from a coach in the same conference and is coaching a team that could be considered a rival. Minnesota has been a team in the last few years that has been sneaky good at times, so for Fleck to say this is showing true respect.
The reasoning behind Fleck saying Nebraska is one of the most gaudy teams is because of Matt Rhule. Fleck knows what Rhule did at Temple and at Baylor, and is seeing him do the same thing at Nebraska right now and awakening something that has been dormant in Lincoln for a very long time.
"He is awakening it [Nebraska], that's for sure," Fleck said. "He's a special person, one thing I respect about him, he has a systematic approach of how he wants it done and what it looks like."

Fleck admits that as a head coach, you have to have a systematic approach and a way to do things, but you also need the proof behind it to show it works, and Rhule certainly has that.
It has been talked about a lot, but Rhule has a system when he starts at a school. He struggles in the first year, usually taking over a pretty beaten-down program. Then in the second year, he can usually get the team to a bowl game, usually winning it and finishing with a record just over .500. Finally, in year 3, everything starts to click and his team takes off.
Fleck had lots of praise for Rhule and the type of coach that he is, and that is truly something. Fleck is able to recognize what Rhule does and the fact that he does it well and give praise to a rival head coach.
If anything, this sort of praise from a. The rival head coach should tell the rest of the Big Ten to watch out for the Cornhuskers this season because they are coming out with a new kind of fire.
