Nebraska probably wants nothing more than to forget the game against Minnesota on Friday night, but unfortunately, they can't afford to do that. The Cornhuskers need to learn from that game tape and figure out how to fix the problems that the Golden Gophers caused, mainly on the offensive side of the ball.
The biggest fix for this team first and foremost needs to be the run game. If you take our Dylan Raiola's rushing total, the running backs only had 70 rushing yards altogether against Minnesota with Emmett Johnson leading the way with 63 yards. No one found the end zone for the Cornhuskers, but being in the red zones a couple of times and not being able to punch it in is a huge problem.
Nebraska will get a reset against Northwestern this week, but if they aren't careful, they could end up like Penn State and drop one to the Wildcats. Both of these teams are coming into this game with a 5-2 record so the Cornhuskers need to be ready for a battle.
