The Nebraska football team is 3-0 and is getting all kinds of national attention. Should they manage to beat a Top 25 team for the first time since 2016, things are only going to ramp up. That's just part of what's on the line on Saturday afternoon against the Michigan Wolverines.

In the very recent past, the Huskers hosting a Top 25 team would mean that NU was a heavy underdog. And while the team is not favored to beat the Wolverines, despite their head coach not being with the team. Of course, with Bigg Poggi at the helm, they might actually be better.

Certainly, Bryce Underwood looked like more of a weapon against Central Michigan. He ran for positive yards for the first time this season last week, and he ran for over 100 yards. Poggi is on the record saying he's got the green light against the Nebraska football team.

Nebraska vs Michigan final odds

The week started with the Huskers' being -1.5 against Michigan. On Saturday morning, the odds haven't moved. The Wolverines are still slight favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The good news here is that a home game for an unranked team against No. 21 Michigan is considered nearly a toss-up. Here's hoping the Cornhuskers can show they are really up to the challenge.

Bryce Underwood is one of the most electric players in college football. If the Huskers have an Achilles heel, it's been tackling and running quarterbacks. And while Matt Rhule thinks he's got his team getting over its fear of the big moment, they don't look like they've gotten over it yet.

The Nebraska football team will fall short on Saturday, but that won't derail their season. The Huskers lose 31-20.
