If there is one thing that Matt Rhule has proved in the last year, it is that he is committed to Nebraska and truly building a future for this program. Rhule not only has put together a great 2026 recruiting class, but is already working the 2027 class as well, as he already has a quarterback commit set to take over for current quarterback Dylan Raiola when his time with the Big Red is over.
Rhule's next target in eh Class of 2027 actually isn't even here in the United States. German defensive lineman Marvin Nguetsop is already beginning his recruitment for 2027 and plans to visit Nebraska this weekend for the Cornhuskers football camps. The 6-foot-7, 275-pound defensive lineman is also looking at Michigan, Ohio State, and Georgia while he is in the country, making for some steep competition for Nebraska.
Nguetsop is from Düsseldorf, Germany, and currently plays for the Düsseldorf Panthers in the German American football league at the defensive tackle position. While he has yet to be ranked by either On3 or 247Sports, he has already received offers from Florida, Texas A&M, and, of course, Nebraska, along with others.

Nebraska's focus on the defensive line could come to head with Marvin Nguetsop
Nebraska has focused on the future of its defensive line over the last month or so, and a commitment from a player like Nguetsop would be huge. The sheer size and strength of the German defensive tackle are enough to garner some offers from schools, but also taking the time to visit some of the biggest programs, not just in the Big Ten but in college football, speaks to his talents.
Nebraska has battled Michigan and Ohio State both on the football field and in recruiting, and at times has won on both, but the Cornhuskers have had a bit more success in the recruiting realm than on he field as of late.
Rhule has the ability to gain the commitment from Nguetsop over Michigan and Ohio State; he just has to make the right offer and show the young German football player the type of program the Cornhuskers have. His visit this weekend will be the perfect time to do just that before he visits the other big programs.
