Nebraska head coach only has four players committed in the Class of 2026 recruiting cycle, but he certainly has a lot of irons in the fire when it comes to a lot of recruits. The Cornhuskers will begin their official visit weekends in June, however, Nebraska has already lost the battle for one highly sought-after wide receiver that could have really been a big addition to this offense.
4-star athlete Ryan Mosley decided to stay in-state and commit to the Georgia Bulldogs, making it 10 commitments for head coach Kirby Smart so far in this recruiting cycle. Mosley was down to five schools: Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Texas A&M, and, of course, Nebraska. The Cornhuskers were the only non-SEC school in the mix for the top athlete.
Mosley is ranked as the No. 182 player in the country, the No. 27 wide receiver, and the No. 23 player in the state of Georgia, according to composite rankings. Mosley just took his official visit to Georgia over the May 16 weekend, and it seems like that must have sealed the deal for the great wideout.
Losing a player like Mosley is big for Nebraska as Rhule is trying to build an offense around top quarterback Dylan Raiola. The young gunslinger needed a lot of help offensively last season and is looking to take a big step forward in 2025 with more help in the wide receiver room. So far, Rhule only has one wide receiver commit in the Class of 2026 with Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte committing in 2024 as a 3-star prospect.
Mosley is set to visit Nebraska on June 10, so Rhule may be able to work some of his recruiting magic and flip Mosley, but as an in-state recruit, it seems like the young wide receiver is staying put where he is.
