Now that the Nebraska football team has officially started its season, offensive lineman Teddy Prochazka has taken the next step on his "long road back" to the top of the depth chart. The oft-injured Husker talked about how nice it was to finally be back. Especially after playing every single down against Cincinnati.
"Super excited," Prochazka said Tuesday while speaking with local media about suiting up for the Huskers' home opener. "It's been a long time since I have played a down in front of those fans at home. Just looking forward to it and keep prepping for Akron this week."

Hard not to be happy for Nebraska right tackle Teddy Prochazka. The Elkhorn South grad has endured 3 season-ending injuries in four seasons as a #Huskers.

"It’s been a long road to where I am now," Prochazka said. "The recovery process is always still there. I feel more sore after games but being able to get through that game, and attack it as much as I could is a great feeling and something I look forward to doing each week."
Prochazka is in his fifth season as a Husker. His career has been hampered by injuries, having never been able to play all 12 games throughout the course of a season. He played in five games as a freshman back in 2021, making two starts, before suffering a season-ending injury. He started three games at left tackle in 2022 before suffering another season-ending injury.
Proachazka's start to his 2023 season was delayed while rehabbing, before playing in 10 games and making six starts.
Now starting again for the Nebraska football team, Teddy Prochazka's story is a great one for a homegrown talent. Hopefully, he can lead the Cornhuskers to a second straight bowl game, or even the playoffs, should they have as much success as the program expects.
