Now that Nebraska has wrapped up its non-conference schedule, things are about to get real. The Huskers' Big Ten schedule opens on Saturday afternoon against Michigan State. The Spartans could serve as a very good test for Matt Rhule's gang, considering they at least gave No. 3 Notre Dame a fight.
On the other hand, despite staying within 17 points and covering the Fighting Irish, oddsmakers aren't giving the Spartans much of a chance against the Huskers, even though they're hosting NU in their first road game of the season.
It's a safe bet that Nebraska having a veteran quarterback who's started three seasons, including two with different teams, is one of the big reasons why the Huskers are expected to beat the Spartans by almost a touchdown. Anthony Colandrea could be the X-factor for the Huskers in a number of games where they might have been underdogs, with Dylan Raiola under center.

According to DraftKings, Nebraska is currently a 5.5-point favorite. That's already up a point from Sunday and shows that there's a decent level of confidence that the Huskers could end up being big winners. With a total of 48.5, it appears that the oddsmakers believe it could be a bit of a shootout.
This game will also be a real test of Rob Aurich and his revamped defense. The Huskers allowed 21 points in the season opener, but they haven't allowed more than 7 points in the last two games. It will also be an interesting test for Colandrea and the offense, as it's rolled up touchdown after touchdown against lesser opponents.
The Spartans held Notre Dame to 27 points in Week 3, the lowest total the Irish have scored this season, by a couple of touchdowns. On the other hand, the game against the Irish was the worst outing of his career for MSU quarterback Alessio Milivojevic. It was the first time he's thrown more than one touchdown in a game. He completed just 9 of 17 passes for 123 yards.
Hopefully, Nebraska took some notes on how to beat the Michigan State Spartans so the Huskers can improve to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Big Ten.
