The Nebraksa football has one of its most challenging games of the year on Saturday, even though USC is just 4-5 on the season. Defensive coordinator Tony White knows his Blackshirts are going up against some serious talent. He also thinks he knows how they can win the battle.

"They got athletes running around there,” White said on Sports Nightly. “We can't let our guard down ... We've got to make sure we're playing with dominant contact, Husker speed, and giving them different looks ... and give the guys that feeling like, 'Hey, go out there and play and make it your game.'"

The Nebraska football team has had a good week of practices, according to both White and Rhule. But that doesn’t mean the know for sure how the team will come out. The coaches thought the practices before UCLA were good as well.

Nebraska football looking for energy on defense

White also talked about the Huskers getting ready for a new quarterback. That QB1 is getting its first start of the season.

“When they made the quarterback change, that's going to throw an interesting wrinkle in there. Just because Miller Moss had been operating the offense and I know it wasn't the results that they wanted. But they were moving the ball and they were able to give themselves a chance to win games like that."

"They're not going to be a completely different offense but they're going to give him things to be comfortable with and things to execute that maybe they haven't shown because of the ability he has to run. And you hear all the reports about how great his deep ball is and how accurate he is. So it's going to be a game of adjustments."

Now it’s about the Nebraska football team adjusting to the point where they can pull off an upset.
