Nebraska football standout defensive back Ceyair Wright is quite the draft riser this winter.
Fresh off a Shrine Bowl week where he was raising eyebrows, the graduating corner isn't letting grass grow underneath his feet. On Thursday, NFL/CFB analyst Ryan Fowler confirmed that Wright joined Senior Bowl practices and will play in the game on Saturday.
Fowler was singing the praises of the Nebraska star when Wright was practicing and playing in the Shrine Bowl workouts.

Ceyair Wright’s late surge has Nebraska football buzzing ahead of the NFL Draft
"A popular name among scouts & a standout at Shrine this past weekend — Nebraska DB Ceyair Wright," Fowler said at the time. "Pure coverage ability, instincts, footwork, snaps both on the outside & at nickel, elite level competitor, it’s all there. He’s a name I expect to soar on boards as the weeks progress."
Wright also recorded the first interception of the game in the Shrine Bowl and routinely showed his coverage skills. Those coverage skills made him one of the best corners in the Big Ten, and he was able to routinely shut down the best receivers Nebraska faced off against in 2024 and 2025.
Wright came over to the Huskers in the summer of 2024 after transferring from USC. He originally came to Lincoln under a cloud of purported behavior issues but it soon became clear that had more to do with the Trojans' coaching staff than Wright who emerged as a leader at NU quickly.
Wright appeared in all 13 games in 2024, starting eight in total. He finished the season with 39 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 2 interceptions, and 8 passes deflected. In 2025, he totaled 29 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. He led the team with 5 pass breakups, earning an honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection for Nebraska.
