The Nebraska Cornhuskers are making some waves in the college basketball world right now, the biggest one coming off a game-winning shot against No. 13 Illinois. The win for the Cornhuskers moved them to 11-0 on the season and No. 1 in the Big Ten.

While some Nebraska fans would have still felt a loss wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world with Illinois' success on the basketball court in recent years, a win is being celebrated that much more. It is thanks to a huge shot as the clock struck zero by Jamarques Lawrence.

With 17 seconds left in the game, Nebraska inbounded the ball with hopes of taking the final shot and hitting it, or sending the game to overtime with it tied 80-80. A drive to the basket opened a passing lane to Lawrence, who took one dribble to give himself space for a shot and let it fly. The ball flew through the basket with 0.2 seconds left on the clock.

In real time, the shot looked amazing, but a new video from the point of view of the Nebraska bench, courtesy of Nebraska guard Connor Essegian, gave an incredible new angle on how amazing the play was.

Of course, with the game being at Illinois, the crowd doesn't go crazy, but the bench Cornhuskers bench certainly did, and it gave the most incredible view Nebraska fans could have ever hoped for.

Nebraska basketball is off to best start in program history

The last time Nebraska basketball started off by winning its first 10 games in a row was back in the 1977-1978 season. The last time they won their first 11 games in a row was never, so the Cornhuskers are making history right now.

Not only is Nebraska ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in years, but they are undefeated on the season, a stellar 11-0, and are now 2-0 in the Big Ten and sitting at the top of the conference. The Cornhuskers are sending a message to the rest of the Big Ten with the win over No. 13 Illinois right now, and that is that they are here and ready to battle anyone who challenges them.
