There was a time when the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team thought they had a special wide receiver weapon in Malachi Coleman. Then he transferred this winter to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Now he might just be a special weapon for the Big Ten rival.

During Big Ten Days last week, Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck was quite excited to talk about Coleman and what he thinks the wide receiver will do in his first year with the team.

"He has elite, elite skill sets," PJ Fleck said about the former Nebraska Cornhuskers football player. "He doesn't say much; he just works his tail-end off. Fought through some injuries, which he's recovered from, which has been really good." It's going to be very interesting to watch what happens with Coleman this season, especially when he matches up with the Huskers later this fall.

Nebraska football names Tyler Knaak the starting RT ... for now

When the Nebraska football team starts fall camp this week, there's going to be plenty of position battles to watch. Right at the top of the list will be various offensive line positions.

During Big Ten Media Days, Rhule said that if the season started right now, Tyler Knaak would be the starting right tackle. However, he also noted that there will be a real competition this fall and that there are some other players who have a shot of winning the job.

Dylan Raiola gets rave reviews from Big Ten rivals

One of the most interesting takeaways for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team is that the Big Ten rivals have quite a bit of respect for Dylan Raiola. Among the players that had nothing but great things to say about the sophomore slinger was Illinois QB Luke Altmyer who said that he took his performance against the Illini to heart and even feels as though he still has things to learn from the younger signal caller. Considering the two teams don't play each other in 2025, maybe they can even share notes.
