The Nebraska basketball team limped into the NCAA Tournament, losing two of its last three games. That both those games were blowout losses bumped the Huskers from the 3 seed line to the 4 seed line. Now they will have to take on a tough Sun Belt champion, Troy, which won both the regular season and conference tournament titles.
The Huskers will take their 26-6 record into the NCAA Tournament knowing a single win will set two school records. First of all, NU will finally have its first tourney win in the program's long history after starting 0-7. Second, the 27 wins would be a season high over that same long history.
Nebraska will play in the South Regional, with Florida being the 1 seed they'll need to face off against if they want to get to the Elite Eight. But first, there are some other talented teams they'll need to go through.

It won't be an easy road to Nebraska's first tournament win. Troy can hit the boards hard. That is the Huskers' Achilles Heel. Should NU manage to get past the Trojans, they'll next take on the winner of Vanderbilt and McNeese.
The South Region has three Big Ten teams, offering up a chance for some interesting showdowns if everything shakes out the right way. However, getting past the Sweet 16 will almost certainly mean taking down reigning national champion Florida, which is a monumental task.
