Any Nebraska fans who have FuboTV woke up to some rather unfortunate news on Saturday morning. As of Friday night, a carriage dispute between the service and NBCUniversal has caused all NBC channels to be temporarily pulled down. That means Husker fans will need to look elsewhere to watch the game against Penn State on Saturday night.

This carriage dispute comes just days after Disney and YouTube TV worked out one of the most protracted carriage disputes in recent memory. And what could annoy Husker fans most is that there is a chance there are plenty of fans who turned to FuboTV because of that dispute. Now, if they signed up for the latter, they might want to go back to the former.

Nebraska football fans can turn to Peacock

Because the Big Ten already has a deal in place with NBC, there is an alternative if people don't want to sign up for YouTube TV: Peacock.

The streaming service features many Big Ten games. On Saturday night, that includes Nebraska vs Penn State. The downside here is that Peacock doesn't offer a free trial. On the other hand, a monthly subscription is less than other streaming cable services.

Other options for Nebraska vs Penn State due to NBC blackout on FuboTV

DirecTV is a comprehensive live TV streaming service that is a direct competitor to FuboTV. It offers more than 95 live TV channels, including NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, and more. DTV starts at $34.99 per month after a 5-day free trial when you shop their customizable genre packs. This would allow Nebraska football fans to watch the game and not be on the hook for anything else.

Hulu Live TV is another option that also allows for a free trial, as long as the user hasn't had an account before. Nebraska football fans can also turn to YouTube TV for a 3 day trial if they haven't used the service before.
