While Memorial Stadium isn't considered one of the toughest places to play by EA Sports, there are plenty of former Nebraska football opponents who were quite impressed by the place. One such opponent is former Ohio State and USC defensive back Bryson Shaw. The former Big Ten defender recently went through his "Best Stadiums to Play At" and the Huskers' home field made the top spot.
Shaw is far from the only one who believes that Memorial Stadium is still a great place to play. It's been a place where Nebraska opponents have had referential thoughts about, even if they were handed heartbreaking losses.
"Finally, we have my number one, no questions asked, undoubtedly the best stadium to play at in the world is the University of Nebraska," Shaw said on his TikTok account. "It is packed. It is as loud as it gets." He added about the Nebraska football home stadium.
Former Big Ten defender calls Nebraska's Memorial Stadium the nation’s best game-day venue
"It is just a fun place to play. I remember my first year at Ohio State, we were beating them by like 40 in the fourth quarter. And it was still fully packed. It was still as loud as it gets. Their fans are the best fans."
Shaw was referring to the 2019 game, in which the Buckeyes won 48-7 in Lincoln. Nebraska fans may not be thrilled to recall that game, but at least the defensive back was impressed with his visit.
He played at Memorial Stadium one other time for the Buckeyes and that game was closer. He saw Ohio State beat Nebraska 26-17 in 2021. Shaw never got to play in Lincoln as a member of the USC Trojans, but even with the last time he saw Memorial Stadium being four years ago, it's quite the set of memories.
"That stadium is the best stadium," he added about the Nebraska football home. "I played there twice, and I wish I could play every single game at the University of Nebraska."
