As the Nebraska football team prepares to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes and try to end the regular season 7-5, there is at least one former rival who is taking a previous loss especially hard. It’s always nice when the Huskers can cause a little pain to ex-players of other teams for a change isn’t it?

Especially when the player in psychic pain is someone who caused quite a bit of pain for NU over the years.

Following the Nebraska football team’s blowout win over Wisconsin, a former running back Badgers running back took to social media. His comments make the Huskers win all the sweeter, in the grand scheme of things. “Not Nebraska,” Braelon Allen wrote with two sad emojis.

Nebraska football causes Braelon Allen some pain

It’s this kind of reaction that the Cornhuskers haven’t been able to instill in opponents and former opponents very often over the last decade. It’s fun to see former rivals not enjoying when they play NU.

Braelon Allen is one who the Huskers have especially felt some pain from. The former Wiscy running back faced off against Nebraska three times during his stay in Madison.

His first face-off was his best. In 2021 he carried the ball 22 times for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. That performance played a pretty massive part in his team’s 35-28 win.

In 2022, he carried 18 times for 92 yards in the Badgers’ 15-14 win. And last year he had his worst game against the Nebraska football team, carrying 22 times for 62 yards. Though he did have two touchdowns in his team’s 24-17 overtime win. It’s safe to say those two TDs were impactful.
