Dylan Raiola has been near perfect for the Cornhusker so far this season as the sophomore gunslinger has 12 touchdown passes for Nebraska and only two interceptions. Raiola knew after last season, when he threw 11 interceptions and only 12 touchdown passes, he needed to be more patient and protect the ball.

Raiola has already almost surpassed the number of touchdown passes he had all of last season in just five games so far. The Georgia native has delivered so far for the Cornhuskers this season; however, he may be up against one of the tough quarterbacks on the other side that he has yet to face this season.

Is Malik Washington a sleeper quarterback in the Big Ten with Nebraska football's Dylan Raiola?

Nebraska is set to take on Maryland in Week 7, coming off its first Big Ten win over Michigan State. Maryland is coming off its first loss of the season to Washington, so it will be ready to bounce back.

The biggest storyline that many people probably aren't looking at is the quarterback battle brewing. Raiola is set to take on freshman quarterback Malik Washington, who has had a really promising start to the season for the Terrapins.

Washington, in just his first season as a starter in college football, has already put together a pretty impressive stat line. The Maryland native already has thrown for 1,257 yards, nine touchdowns, and only two interceptions with a 60.1 completion percentage.

Maryland was not on anyone's radar in the Big Ten this season, but the Terrapins are 4-1 so far this season, and Washington has a lot to do with that. Raiola and Washington's stats are very similar, but Nebraska's quarterback has just a little more polish to his game.

Washington, however, could be a sleeper in the Big Ten, along with Raiola. Both quarterbacks are having solid seasons while no one is taking notice, so this matchup could be one that many people are going to want to tune in to.
