The Big Ten Basketball Tournament is just weeks away and Nebraska Cornhuskers fans are likely wondering where Fred Hoiberg’s’ squad will play and against whom.
Granted, NU won’t know it’s seeding until it plays its final game of the regular season and there are still three games to go, but it’s starting to get to that point where there’s a reason to start looking ahead.
Big Ten Basketball Tournament date and location
The Big Ten Men’s Basketball tournament officially tips off on March 12 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The first game will start at 3:30 pm and the first three contests have broadcasts on Peacock.
If the standings stay roughly the same, this is where the Nebraska Cornhuskers would start the tournament as they’d face off against No. 13 seed Northwestern. The No. 15 seed will then take on the No. 10 seed and then No.11 and then No. 14 seeds face off.
With three more games, the Nebraska basketball team could move up the standings a bit as they are still looking to make the NCAA Tournament as an at-large.
The Big Ten Tounament will finish off on Sunday, March 16 when that game starts at 3:30pm. The game is set to end so that it will be right up against Selection Sunday. As is usually the case, the conference certainly hopes there aren’t any weird upsets so that everyone in the Big Ten knows where they’re going.
The Big Ten basketball tournament will be on CBS and Paramount+ when the semifinals and finals air.
