The Nebraska Cornhuskers have had their fair share of rivalries, especially moving from the Big 12 to the Big Ten. The Cornhuskers are hated by many Big 12 teams, but also have their hatred of many Big Ten teams that have shown consistent dominance over them.

The Nebraska fan base is a loyal one, so much so that they have even turned on their own head coaches who do not provide success. However, it is opposing coaches that receive more hatred than any others from Nebraska fans, and it is certainly something to behold from such a loyal fan base.

So, looking at all of college football, here are three current head coaches that Nebraska fans love to hate.

Kirk Ferentz, Iowa

This hatred comes from a long rivalry between the Cornhuskers and the Hawkeyes, but with how long Kirk Ferentz has been at Iowa, Nebraska doesn't know another Iowa head coach to hate. This hatred also comes from Iowa's dominance over Nebraska over the last 11 years, as the Hawkeyes have won nine of the last 11 meetings.

Nebraska fans are utterly tired of seeing Iowa continually beat Nebraska with mediocre offensive showings, but a stout defense. All they want to see is some consistency from their team against the Hawkeyes and Ferentz.

Bret Bielema, Illinois

This hatred goes back to Bret Bielema's days at Wisconsin and a loss that basically led to Scott Frost's firing in Lincoln. Bielema also has a certain brashness to his coaching style that angers and frustrates opposing teams and fans. He even frustrated opposing head coach Shane Beamer with South Carolina in the Illinois bowl game by taunting him with late substitutions that allowed the Fighting Illini to stall the play clock.

Bielema just seems to rub opposing teams the wrong way, and his success at Wisconsin and now at Illinois really seems to add fuel to the fire between him and Nebraska fans.

Ryan Day, Ohio State

It seems just about every fan base has a hatred for Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes. However, Nebraska has had to face Day on many occasions, with both teams being in the Big Ten. Day has everything that Nebraska fans wish they had, with success and consistent success at that. Day represents everything the Cornhuskers don't have, which fuels this hatred.
