The College Football Playoffs are just weeks away. It seems extremely weird to say that as it doesn't feel as though we're through Week 9 of the season. Teams are making plans for the postseason and more than a few are still holding out hope that they might make the field of 12.
Of course, the Nebraska football team is not in the running. It hasn't been in the running, if it ever really was, since its loss to Illinois. Interestingly enough, the Huskers don't really have a chance to change the outlook of the playoffs either.
Neither Iowa, Wisconsin or USC are looking at trying to get to the College Football Playoffs. Certainly, UCLA isn't getting in either. But that doesn't mean that no Big Ten teams are getting in. In fact, there's a pretty decent number of teams getting in. Sadly, I think Indiana barely misses it, though I'd love to see the Hoosiers make their way in.

The bottom of the rankings didn't really change from last week. The biggest change is Texas A&M getting into the field. They manage to get there thanks to their win over LSU this weekend.
The Tigers had looked like they were going to get in, but they managed to take themselves out of it with with a rather ugly loss.
My projections could change by the day at this point. There are a lot of good teams and only 12 College Football Playoff spots.
