Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball star Lindsay Krause had to fire back at a fan on social media after a bad guess on her recent injury.

Social media has allowed players and fans to interact in ways that were never available before. That’s both good and at times, very bad.

The downside of these kinds of interactions was on full display earlier this week. Things went sour when a report was posted on Twitter about how junior outside hitter Lindsay Krause was still out as she heals from a high ankle sprain.

One nameless, faceless Nebraska Cornhuskers “fan” decided to offer their unresearched, uneducated decision on why Krause was “really” out.

“She’s shopping for a new team,” the Twitter user posted.

Krause herself decided to speak up. In the process she took down the person who purports to be in the know.

"“Not sure what makes someone have an assumption like this one. When somebody sustains a serious injury and people are more concerned about this than their actual health it is really telling.”"

The Nebraska Cornhuskers star made it clear that when people take it upon themselves to bash those in the spotlight without thinking, they should know that while it might be anonymous, it’s not unseen.

Nebraska Cornhuskers lose out on big man

One of the weirdest struggles Nebrasketball has had over the last decade or so is that it’s had serious problems landing legitimate Zach Edey sized big men. Earlier this week, the Huskers lost out yet again.

This time they lost a recruiting battle for McCook C.C. center Noah Boyed.

While it’s certainly understandable that Baylor was able to out recruit the Nebraska Cornhuskers, this loss is a bit more painful as it’s technically Fred Hoiberg losing the battle for a player inside the state borders.
