Nebraska Football the underdogs at home against Maryland
The Nebraska Football team will need to pull off the upset if they want to qualify for a bowl game against the Maryland Terapins.
Matt Rhule, Heinrich Haarberg and the Nebraska Football team are facing Take 2 as far as getting bowl eligible. And it appears that Vegas believes if the Huskers do get to win number six next Saturday, it will be a pretty decent upset.
The Maryland Terapins come to Lincoln for the first time since 2016 looking for their own bowl bid. The Terps got off to a hot 5-0 start to the season but have been spinning their wheels for a bit now and are currently sitting with an identical 5-4 record on the season following a 51-15 loss to Penn State this past weekend.
The oddsmakers believe that Maryland is favored to beat the Nebraska Football team with FanDuel showing the opening line with the Terps a 2.5-point favorite. When you consider that most teams get a 3 or 4 point bump by being at home, it’s clear there aren’t a ton of believers in the Cornhuskers right now.
It would be hard to fault anyone who doubts the Nebraska Football team can score enough to beat the Big Ten East squad, especially after watching the offense’s performance against Michigan State.
Nebraska Football not expected to win
While FanDuel is sporting one of the biggest lines for this game, it’s possible that Nebraska Football fans might like to see that the Terapins are just 1-point favorites according to DraftKings and 1.5-point faves according to Caesar’s Sportsbook.
If the Cornhuskers want to have any shot of winning on Saturday, it’s clear they’re going to need to come up with a game plan that will make Heinrich Haarberg a hero again.
If there is one source of hope for Nebraska Football, it’s that Maryland’s offense hasn’t looked nearly as high powered the last four games, as they did to start the year.
