The Nebraska Football team could get back one of its best defensive players for the first time this season as Marques Buford has traveled to Michigan State.

The Nebraska Football team has been absolutely decimated by injuries this season. However, against the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, it looks like the Huskers might finally be getting a bit healthy.

Among the players that are could get some playing time this year is a dude who hasn’t seen action in a game yet in 2023. Defensive back Marques Buford, a safety who suffered a knee injury last year has been rehabbing this fall with the intention of eventually contributing towards the end of the season.

With four games to go in this campaign, it appears that he could make his debut. Buford traveled with the Nebraska Football team to play Michigan State, a very good sign that the coaches believe he’s ready to go.

Robin Washut reported that Buford was going through pre-game warmups with his teammates, yet another very significant sign that he’s going to be playing against the Spartans.

It’s long been known that if the Nebraska Football team wants to log a road win and become bowl eligible, it’s going to have to lean on its defense. Could the secondary be getting a big boost this afternoon? It seems so.

Nebraska Football getting healthy

Buford isn’t the only player going through warmups that Nebraska Football fans should be very excited about.

According to those in East Lansing, offensive lineman Nouredin Nouili and Omar Brown were both dressed in warmups. Brown was going through the concussion protocol this week, but it appears the Huskers think he can go. Nouili was one of several offensive linemen injured against Northwestern and it seems as though he’s back earlier than anyone could have rationally hoped.

Wide receiver Billy Kemp IV was also going through warmups and could be returning for Nebraska Football. That would be a big return for a receiver whose veteran presence is important.
