Nebraska Cornhuskers Volleyball star Lexi Rodriguez continues what has been a breathtaking career by making a little NIL history on Monday.

Lexi Rodriguez is well known in college volleyball circles as one of the best in the game. Now it appears that she’s going to become even more well known.

On Monday it was announced that the Nebraska Cornhuskers Volleyball star is the first woman in collegiate sports to sign a NIL deal with Panini America.

Panini America is a sports and entertainment collectibles company, that has previously reached NIL deals with the likes of top college football and baseball players like Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning, Michael Penix and Paul Skenes.

Now Lexi is going to be talked about with not only the top women athletes in sports, but also the top athletes in sports in general. As part of her deal with the company she got her own trading card. You can check that out below.

  • Last week, former Nebraska Cornhuskers offensive lineman, Jermarcus Hardrick otherwise known as Yoshi, got some special honors from his CFL team. He was named the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman.
  • Speaking of Nebraska Football, there has been all kinds of talk about how bad the Huskers offense has been, however, when it comes to its rushing attack, it’s actually one of the best in the country. That’s especially the case when talking about that rushing attack paired up with the defensive performance they’ve had. The Huskers are one of three programs in the country with at least 1500 yards rushing while holding opponents fewer than 650 yards rushing on the season. UCLA and Air Force are the other two teams.
  • The Nebraska Women’s Basketball team played its final exhibition before the regular season next week. The Huskers cruised to an 83-47 win against NAIA foe Dakota Wesleyan. Freshman forward Natalie Potts stood out as she scored 15 points and Darian White had 13 points and eight assists.
