Nebraska football recruiting is going to have its work cut out for it should it want to land one of the best players in the state for the 2025 class.

If Nebraska football recruiting wants to close the deal on Chase Loftin, they will have to work overtime. While the Huskers have the home-state advantage, it’s become obvious quickly that the 2025 prospect will have his pick of teams across the country to play for, should he want.

The Elkhorn North prospect has seen his stock rising quickly over the last few weeks. He is potentially the top 2025 prospect for Nebraska football recruiting. Looks like he’s the top prospect for many other teams.

In the last week alone, Loftin has gotten offers from Wisconsin and Duke. These two programs that have to be pretty enticing for a kid wanting to be an offensive weapon for an explosive attack. Of those two, it appears the Badgers have made some real inroads.

However, Nebraska football recruiting doesn’t have just that Big Ten rival to try and fight off. Loftin also has offers from Illinois and Purdue. Outside the conference, there’s Oklahoma, Kansas State, Missouri and Iowa State wanting the second-ranked player in Nebraska to commit to them.

Nebraska football recruiting has its hands full with Loftin

The good news for those who put much stock into recruiting services’ predictions is that Nebraska football recruiting looks to be one of the leaders for Chase Loftin at the moment. On3 has the Huskers in the lead, with Kansas State in a close second place.

Rivals believe the Cornhuskers and Iowa State are neck-and-neck for the tight-end’s commitment.

The Nebraska football team has a long way to go. Loftin can’t even sign on the dotted line until next December. There are going to be twists and turns until we get to the recruiting finish line. Here’s hoping the Huskers are there when the smoke clears.
