Nebraska football already chasing Michigan State commit
Nebraska football is wasting no time trying to get help on the offensive line while taking advantage of the turmoil in East Lansing.
College sports can be a cut throat business. Teams need to take advantage when one of their rivals is in a weakened state. Nebraska football knows that better than most.
That’s probably why Matt Rhule and company wasted no time in going after an offensive line prospect that’s been a Michigan State commitment since April.
Andrew Pleasant of Mount Pleasant, Michigan is the latest offensive line prospect to get a Nebraska football offer. The offer came on the same day that the Michigan State Spartans announced they have fired head coach Mel Tucker.
Tucker was suspended a few weeks ago after being accused of sexually harassing a woman who tours college campuses around the country talking about sexual abuse survival. Brenda Tracy, the woman who made the accusation was allegedly raped when she was a student at Oregon State. Her attackers were members of the OSU football team, as well as at least on recruit on a visit.
Since Tucker admitted that he engaged in a sex act while on the phone with Tracy (he claims it was consensual and mutual) the university decided it already had enough to fire him with cause. And now Nebraska football is joining the list of teams picking over the Spartans’ leftovers.

Dennis is a 4-star prospect according to 247Sports and it’s clear that the Huskers have their work cut out for them if they want to get him to Lincoln. However, Nebraska football was considered one of the top contenders for the 6-foot-5, 275-pound interior lineman before he pulled the trigger for Michigan State.
Clearly, Nebraska football feels there’s an opening. It will be interesting to see whether they can kick the door open and get him to take a visit to Lincoln on gameday.
