Nebraska Cornhuskers News: Marcus Satterfield discovers some warts, more
The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team’s game against Colorado has a massive game against Colorado and the team’s OC thinks he knows how to approach it.
When the Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the Colorado Buffaloes clash on Saturday morning, it turns out that the Buffs are going to be pretty heavy favorites, especially among national talking heads.
The Vegas line, which had the Nebraska football team favored by more than a touchdown during the offseason and now has Colorado as 3 point favorites shifted in part because Deion Sanders’ offense looked spectacular and Matt Rhule’s (really Marcus Satterfield’s) did not.
The good news, for Nebraska Cornhuskers fans is that the NU offensive coordinator believes he knows what went wrong, what went right and how to fix things before the week two matchup.
“It’s been a good week,” he told the assembled media on Thursday afternoon. “When you get to play a game, you get to uncover some warts you need to work on, and I think our guys and our coaches have done a nice job. We’ve been attacking things that we needed to get fixed. From just personnel things of getting off the field, from the sideline to the huddle, to the play calls, the technical things needed to be improved.”
Obviously, Nebraska football fans are hoping the warts have been burned away and the Huskers will play a more technically sound game on Saturday. It’s important to note that Colorado has not proven itself a juggernaut and a better outing by NU could still lead to a win.
