There are some who believe that the Nebraska Cornhuskers are seeing an infusion of character just when Northwestern is showing none.
The Northwestern Wildcats are having some serious character issues these days. On the flipside, it sure feels like the Nebraska Cornhuskers are having a bit of a resurgence in that area.
At least that’s SI’s Tad Stryker believes. Stryker recently wrote a piece where he compared how the Nebraska Cornhuskers appear to be coming out of a black tunnel of despair and less than scrupulous behavior under Scott Frost.
Now that Matt Rhule is in town, it looks as though the kind of lawlessness that Frost and his staff allowed either because they were lazy or just didn’t know how to run a program. The things that Rhule has done stand out even more when being compared to the way Northwestern its first real athletic scandal maybe ever.
Budding Nebraska Cornhuskers star inks NIL deal
Nebraska volleyball freshman outside hitter Harper Murray has signed a NIL deal before she even starts her first year with the Huskers. Murray signed that deal with Avoli, an athletic shoe company that focuses on girls’ and women’s volleyball shoes.
Murray is one of three volleyball players that has themselves new NIL deals with Avoli. That there are three and only three should be quite interesting to Nebraska Cornhuskers fans. The other two players that have signed with Avoli is Texas‘ Reilly Heinrich and Virginia‘s Ashley Le.
Sam Griesel signs overseas
Fresh off his stint in the summer league with the Boston Celtics, former Nebraska basketball star Sam Griesel has signed a deal with a German professional basketball team. He signed a deal with Telekom Baskets Bonn. They are the defending BCL champions.
Griesel has some family ties with the country, as his father is actually from Germany.
Max Anderson gets his contract
A few days ago, Brice Matthews signed his new deal with the Houston Astros after being drafted in the first round. Max Anderson was selected in the second round by the Detroit Tigers and he’s now formalized his deal with the Detroit Tigers.
The former Nebraska Cornhuskers star was the 45th pick in the MLB Draft, and it appears he signed a deal that is a bit under slot. Though he’s still getting quite a bit of cash.
