Nebraska Cornhuskers assistant coach Garrett McGuire has forged success so far in his career, but it might pale in comparison to his sister’s.
Joey and Garrett McGuire might be best known for their ties to the college football world, but its Raegan McGuire that is forging quite the career outside of sports. In fact, it appears she’s reached the pinnacle of the fashion design world, despite not being someone who is yet a household name.
The sister of the Nebraska Cornhuskers wide receivers coach and daughter of the Texas Tech Red Raiders head coach is the designer of record for the yellow dress that has been showcased during Taylor Swift’s singing of ‘Lover’ throughout her eras tour.
Raegan recently talked to Texas Tech Today about her feelings seeing a dress she designed being worn by such a popular pop music icon.
“It blew me away seeing it on the screen,” McGuire said. “I obviously have always loved the dress but seeing it on her and the way she moves so theatrically, it really made the dress come to life on a whole other level.”
Nebraska Cornhuskers target playing in All-American Bowl
Earlier this week, Nebraska football commit Gibson Pyle announced that he will represent his high school and future college at the All-American Bowl. On Tuesday, it was one of the top targets in the 2025 class to make the same announcement.
Christian Jones, a 4-star linebacker out of Omaha Westside, has been named to the game. He gets that honor before he’s played a single down in his junior season. Jones’ stock has been rising quite. a bit this spring and summer. It looks like its about to shoot through the roof.
Jeff Sims and John Deere
Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Jeff Sims is likely going to have more than his fair share of NIL deals before his time with the Huskers is said and done. On Tuesday, one of the bigger no-brainer NIL deals around the Huskers was announced.
The newest starting signal caller has struck a deal with a John Deere dealership. He’s one of two college players to have such a deal so far.

Northwestern continues to be an absolute mess
Never let it be said that the Wildcats haven’t worked hard to make a mess of the Pat Fitzgerald situation. The latest misstep came when the school announced it was retaining all its assistants.
It’s hard to understand that move, considering that they fired their head coach for either ignoring or encouraging hazing. Even Nebraska Cornhuskers fans all over social media are pointing out that if Fitzgerald knew about these things, then certainly at least some of his assistant coaches did.
