Nebraska football vs the Pac 12

It shouldn’t come as a massive surprise that there are only two Pac-12 teams that the Nebraska football team has managed to go undefeated against. It would be quite a bit more surprising if there were quite a few teams on this particular list.

Of course, there are some teams in the conference that the Huskers have had a lot of success against. Oregon is 2-6 and Oregon State is 2-9 lifetime. Then there’s Colorado which is 20-49-2 all time.

In order to post an undefeated record against a Power 5 conference team, it would seem as though it takes a handful of games in the team’s history. It’s still impressive to go undefeated against this level of opponent.

California: The Golden Bears and Huskers first met in 1978 with NU winning a squeaker 36-26. Then in 1998, the two teams met up in a two game series that saw the Cornhuskers dominate. They won the 1998 game 24-3 and the 1999 contest 45-0.

Utah: The Utes have faced off against the Nebraska football team four times over the years. They first met up in 1968. That saw Utah go down 31-0. The teams then met in 1980 (55-9), 1989 (42-30), and finally in 1992 when the Huskers won 49-22.
