Former Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive back Noa Pola Gates is a free agent no more as he’s finally found a new home after entering the transfer portal.

Noa Pola Gates is one of those players that the Nebraska Cornhuskers thought was going to be a real difference-maker in the defensive backfield. He was one of the more highly sought aftrer corners in the country for his class.

However, he never really worked out once he set foot on campus and might have been one of the biggest examples to point to when talking about the development failures of the Scott Frost era. He entered the transfer portal in late April, just after the Huskers’ spring game and now he’s taking his talents to the Mountain West.

On3 is reporting that the former Nebraska Cornhuskers player is headed to New Mexico. That officially closes the book on his Nebraska career with just five total tackles.
