Dylan Raiola might have been written off as going to Georgia by some, but the Nebraska football coaches haven’t given up the ghost just yet.
Is Dyland Raiola likely to be a member of the Nebraska football team when all is said and done? Probably not.
Georgia continues to be the team to beat when it comes to landing the best quarterback of the 2024 recruiting class. But that hasn’t stopped the Nebraska football team from continuing to work and show the legacy prospect they would very much like him to join the program.
It’s not a secret that the Huskers coaches have pulled out all the stops. They’ve paid one visit to him after another, including a visit to his high school earlier this month.
The goal is still very much an attempt to get an official visit from him. One last trip to Lincoln to try and convince him that Georgia isn’t the way to go.

Nebraska football still chugging along after Dylan Raiola
There is, of course, a reason why the Huskers are “never saying never” in regards to the 5-star quarterback, and it’s not just because he’s the top-rated prospect in his class.
At least for the 2024 class, there isn’t really a Plan B. Matt Rhule and company put all their eggs in this particular basket.
If it doesn’t pay off, the Cornhuskers are almost certainly not getting a high school quarterback in this class. That’s not an end-of-the-world scenario. Jeff Sims has a couple of years of college football left so it’s not a situation where his replacement needs to be in place this December.
But things get stickier if Raiola isn’t coming to Lincoln.
So the Nebraska football coaching staff is doing everything it can to get him here. It feels like past staffs would have moved on by now. I’ll give this group some points for sticktuitiveness.
