One of the newest Nebraska football players might not have been in Lincoln all that long, but it sure appears as though he’s found himself a home. That’s not just based off of only the way he carries himself and looks when he meets the media. It also comes straight from the Georgia transfer’s family members who like what they see and hear from him.

One of the newest Nebraska football defenders, who looked every bit the part of someone who could contribute to the Huskers this fall through his spring game performance, has made no bones about how happy he is in Lincoln. He’s talked before about how much he likes the schemes that defensive coordinator Tony White has his guys playing. But he’s also looking and sounding like he feels quite at home with this version of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Over the weekend, Sherman’s sister, Raisa Blue, took to Twitter to share just how happy she is, to see her brother feeling and looking so good.

"“I can tell you first hand . . . In 3 years this is the MOST I’ve seen my brother smile and it makes me so happy to see him in his element, balanced energy, & having fun, as it should be. Truly this is the light at the end of the tunnel. #GBR”"

Attached to the tweet that Raisa posted was a picture of Sherman standing at the podium with a big smile on his face. The caption to the photo said that Sherman talked about how he’s had more fun this spring than any other part of his football career.

That one of the newest Nebraska football additions is so happy to be in Lincoln is newsworthy considering he spent the last few years on a national championship team. It’s certainly nice to see that Sherman has found a place where he can indeed be happy and that it’s clearly not just lip service.

Here’s hoping his happiness gets even bigger as the Nebraska football team takes advantage of him and others and wins quite a few games in the next couple of years.
