While Nebraska football recruiting watchers have been keeping both eyes on Dylan Raiola, there is another Husker legacy out there who could be a nice get when the time comes. Of course, that time isn’t going to come for a while considering that Bastian Vanden Bosch is a member of the 2026 recruiting class.

Yes, Bastian Vanden Bosch is who he sounds like he is. The 2026 prospect is the son of former Nebraska football star Kyle Vanden Bosch. And it appears that the Bastian is following in his fathers’ footsteps in more ways than one.

As a member of Brophy College Prep he’s an athlete that is getting quite a bit of attention from Power 5 programs. That includes the Nebraska football program who has already made him an offer, alongside Oregon, Arizona and Arizona State.

It’s definitely interesting that Bastian has gotten exactly one offer from a Big Ten school and it just happens to be the program where his father played. But with Oregon also showing interest, the Huskers are not only interested because Kyle is a former Cornhuskers star.

According to On3, the Huskers still have some work to do. The Pac-12 programs are all getting a bit more love in Bastian’s eyes. However, if there is one thing that the Nebraska football staff has demonstrated, it’s that it knows how to worm its way into the heart and minds of Arizona-based high school prospects.

There was, after all a time when the Nebraska football program didn’t have a chance to get Dylan Raiola. Now, even if he decides to pick another school in the long run, they’ve clearly convinced him that he’s at least started considering the Cornhuskers.

It’s going to be a while before Bastian Vanden Bosch is able to sign on the bottom line for the Nebraska football program or any other team. As a member of the 2026 class, he’ll have a few years before any school has to make a final pitch.
