The NFL Combine is right around the corner. Hundreds of college football players, including those who wowed Nebraska football fans for the last few years, will get a chance to show off what they can do.

Nebraska football fans have three players in particular they’ll be watching when the NFL Combine 2023 kicks off. Trey Palmer, Travis Vokolek and Ochaun Mathis have all been invited to the event. One name that stands out as not being invited is Garrett Nelson. Considering the kind of season Nelson had, it was more than a little surprising that he didn’t get the nod.

When is the NFL Combine 2023?

The NFL Combine 2023 is taking place over a period of days at the beginning of March. Things will start to really heat up during the afternoon of March 2. Those events will then repeat each day through March 5.

The fact that there are going to be hundreds of players trying to show the NFL that they are ready to show they can play at the next level. That’s why there are so many days made available or guys like Vokolek who might be a bit of a surprise to be getting any look at all.

Vokolek is one of those invitees who could turn what might be a blacksheep type pick and could turn into a late draft pick or just a non-roster invitee who could get a real look from a team looking for a blocking tight end who showed the ability to offer offense.
