The Nebraska basketball team has a couple of high-profile games that could have good announcers slated to call the action.

The Nebraska basketball team is going to be looking for its first win of 2023 when it takes on the Penn State Nittany Lions on Sunday afternoon. When looking at the schedule for the coming week, it would appear today’s game is the best bet for an actual victory in the new few weeks.

The Huskers still have a chance to show that head coach Fred Hoiberg deserves to come back and coach for a fifth season and showing up and playing well against Michigan and Wisconsin will go a long way towards doing that.

Of course, showing up and winning one or both of those games would go even further. Both the Badgers and the Wolverines are having better seasons. That point is inarguable. At the same time, neither squad is so good that the Nebraska basketball team should feel that winning against them is insurmountable.

While the Huskers can technically be televised on a couple of different networks, the Big Ten Network always has first dibs. Hoiberg’s Heroes will be tipping off against Penn State on BTN on Sunday afternoon and will then see both of this week’s upcoming games also being featured on the home network.

It’s worth pointing out that the games Nebraska basketball is preparing for are big enough that they are both already slated for the Big Ten Network. They’ve both already been announced, which isn’t always the case. It took a while to find out, for instance, which network the game against Penn State would be on.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to know exactly who will be calling either games in the coming week considering there is quite a stable of on-air talent.

Kevin Kugler, Brandon Gaudin, Dave Revsine, Cory Provus, Jason Ross Jr., Jeff Levering, and Lisa Byington will all be calling games this week.

As far as analysts, Nebraska basketball fans will be treated to one of Robbie Hummel, Stephen Bardo, Andy Katz, Shon Morris, Rapheal Davis, Christy Winters-Scott, Stephanie White, Tre Demps, Trent Meacham and Mike DeCourcy with Brian Butch, Jess Settles and Nick Bahe.

It’s worth noting that Bardo has been the analyst most often paired with Nebraska basketball games so far this season.
