One of the newest Nebraska Cornhuskers football players, Billy Kemp has been getting rave reviews.
That doesn’t just mean for his time in Lincoln, which is actually pretty short. But it hasn’t been hard at all to find reviews for Billy Kemp from his days at Virginia, which makes some sense since he’s on quite a few of the lists when it comes to school records.
Matt Rhule is one of the people who has offered some rave reviews of the transfer receiver. “His stature, people will think he’s an inside receiver but you watch him in the ACC – he’s playing outside, he’s playing inside, he’s a guy that can move the chains on third down,” Rhule said on signing day.
247Sports has compiled what others have said about the former Virginia Cavalier, and it certainly appears that the Nebraska football team got itself a talented pass catcher to try and rebuild with, in 2023.

- Rhule also offered his first real public assessment of 2022’s starting quarterback in Casey Thompson. He said some very nice things while also making it clear that it’s going to be a “clean slate” in 2023 for the quarterbacks. This means that Casey will have to win the job all over again.
- Now that the 2023 class is officially over, grades for recruiting classes have come out. It turns out, for one that Nebraska Cornhuskers earned the 20th-best transfer class according to at least one college football analyst.
- NBC announced who will be the announcers for Big Ten football next year and it’s a pretty talented group. Todd Blackledge, Noah Eagle, and Kathryn Tappen will be leading the game broadcasts.
- Nebraska basketball will continue to be without Juwan Gary and Emmanuel Bandoumel for the rest of the year but both players underwent their respective surgeries this week. Gary is expected to be back to 100 percent by the end of summer workouts. Bandoumel won’t be able to play for another 8 or 9 months.
- Amy Williams’ Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball team got back in the win column after a two-game losing streak. They took a big lead and then almost blew it against Michigan State before winning 71-67 on Thursday night.
