While things aren’t going particularly well for the Nebraska basketball team these days, the Huskers must soldier on. In the midst of what has become a three-game slide, the Cornhuskers are trying to right the ship and even try and get Hoiberg’s first winning season in Lincoln.

If they want to take steps toward that this week, they’ll need to find a way to beat Illinois, Penn State, or both. Of course, the Illini had no problem beating the Nebraska football team the first time the two teams met.

Husker fans might want to look away from a season with a promise that appears to be rolling out of control. Key injuries to the Nebraska basketball team have left them understaffed and undertalented.

Those who do not want to turn away and instead tune in, might want to know just who is going to be covering the Illinois game on Tuesday and the Penn State game next Sunday. Thankfully, some details have started to emerge on just who might be calling both games.

Nebraska Basketball Announcing Schedule

Thanks to being part of the Big Ten, all of the Huskers’ conference games are televised. The question is on what network will they be televised?

The Penn State game hasn’t yet been announced, but we know what channel the Cornhuskers vs. Illini will take place on. The Big Ten network has picked up the Tuesday night tilt that tips off at 6 pm.

As announced back in October, there is a rotating schedule of announcers on the Big Ten network.

While it’s not yet known who will be on the mic as the play-by-play several names could be calling the game.

Kevin Kugler, Brandon Gaudin, Dave Revsine, Cory Provus, Jason Ross Jr., Jeff Levering, and Lisa Byington will all be calling games this week.

As far as analysts, Nebraska basketball fans will be treated to one of Robbie Hummel, Stephen Bardo, Andy Katz, Shon Morris, Rapheal Davis, Christy Winters-Scott, Stephanie White, Tre Demps, Trent Meacham and Mike DeCourcy with Brian Butch, Jess Settles and Nick Bahe.
