Nebraska football recruiting could be in for another big week, if the cards fall just right. The Huskers are hoping to hear that they’ve landed former Arkansas quarterback Malik Hornsby at some point today. On Tuesday night they’re hoping that former Baylor Bears offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua pulls the trigger for the Cornhuskers as well.

The lineman announced on Sunday that he’ll be making his final decision on Tuesday at 8pm while also announcing who he will be picking between.

Nebraska football recruiting might have its work cut out for it, considering it will be going up against a pair of SEC teams. In addition to the Huskers, Mazzccua is still considering the Florida Gators and the Auburn Tigers in his final three schools.

At the moment, it feels like it’s going to be hard to know just where the big man is leaning. He visited Nebraska football and Florida pretty much back to back. There was some hope that he might cancel his trip to Florida entirely.

That didn’t happen and that could certainly be a bad sign. On the other hand, no one can fault the former Baylor player for wanting to make absolutely sure that he’s seen everything he should as he evaluates where he’s going to play next.

When it comes to the recruiting gurus, On3 does not really have an opinion on just where Micah Mazzccua is leaning. That’s not the case with 247Sports which believes that Nebraska football recruiting is just a few days away from wrapping this thing up. It should be pointed out that the site has the Huskers beating Auburn and Florida is not in the picture. So things might have changed when it comes to where the schools are standing since he took a visit to Gainesville.

Nebraska football faithful will find out for sure on Tuesday.
