The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team is still working overtime to try pluck players from the transfer portal that will allow Matt Rhule to turn the program around faster than most people expect. To that end, the Huskers are hosting a big visitor in both size and stature.

Former Stanford offensive Walter Rouse is going to be paying a visit to Lincoln in the very near future and it’s a safe bet that Rhule and company are going to be rolling out the red carpet for a player that’s been dominant on the field and in the classroom.

Rouse has played in 40 games over the course of his career for the Cardinal. In 2020, he was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention after starting every game at left tackle. In 2022, he was a William V. Campbell Trophy finalist, which is known as the “Academic Heisman.”

If the Nebraska Cornhuskers want to land Rouse, they’ve got some stiff competition. He’s also got visits scheduled with Oklahoma and Iowa. He’s also paid a visit to Auburn.
