Nebraska football recruiting isn’t only being done by the Huskers’ coaches. Malachi Coleman has been busy peer-recruiting one prospect in particular.

It should come as no real surprise that the Lincoln East product is looking to get the best players he can to Lincoln. He’s someone who exudes confidence and talent and that can go a long way when it comes to trying to lure potential teammates to town.

That’s why it feels like Nebraska football recruiting is really getting a boost when someone like Malachi Coleman reaches out to uncommitted players. This time around, the 4-star, top player in the state made sure to reach out to a defensive stud in Cameron Lenhardt who would be a massive get for Matt Rhule and company.

Coleman made it clear that he felt he could help Nebraska football recruiting efforts with just a few words. On a tweet where Lenhardt pointed out that he’s going to be committing on Tuesday, January 3, Coleman told the rush end he actually knows where he’s supposed to end up.

"“You alr know where the move at @CameronLenhardt”"

Coleman’s talent isn’t the only reason someone like Lenhardt might listen. The 4-star prospect is also someone who looked outside of Nebraska for a time.

While originally committing to Mickey Joseph back when there seemed to be a chance the former wide receivers coach might get the full-time job, Coleman became a free agent not long after Rhule was hired.

The athlete did make it clear that he wasn’t completely turning his back on the Huskers. However he did look around at other programs. The weekend before the early signing period began, he even took a visit to Colorado and got to see what “Coach Prime” has to offer.

Eventually, Coleman ended up signing with the Huskers and is now doing work for Nebraska football recruiting efforts. It won’t be long now before we see if he can help get Cameron Lenhardt to pull the trigger for the Cornhuskers as well.
