Nebraska Football: Ex-Husker thinks Dylan Raiola is Lincoln bound

While all of Nebraska football nation waits for 2024 QB prospect Dylan Raiola to make his next announcement, one former Husker thinks he’s coming to Lincoln.

Since Dylan Raiola announced that he was no longer committed to Ohio State, there have certainly been a number of people who have said they think his next stop will be Nebraska football. So Will Compton believing that’s where the 5-star stud will end up isn’t all that surprising. However, there’s a little more weight on comments like this from former Husker stars who might be hearing things from those connected to the recruit.

Compton’s comments came during a a segment from Pardon My Take’s latest episode from the Arizona Bowl. He started out by saying that he’s a big supporter of the way that Matt Rhule has operated since taking the Nebraska football job.

“I’m 100 percent all in on Matt Rhule,” Compton said.

He then turned his attention to Raiola who is considered the top prospect in the 2024 class by some recruiting services. He also did throw some cold water on the idea that he’s heard anything specifically. Though one has to think that he might be trying to cover his tracks and not out anyone who gave him the info.

And yes, he could be honestly guessing and being truthful about his lack of inside info.

"“I think we’re going to be in on the top recruit for 2024, Raiola…I think we are going to land him. His uncle is the offensive line coach at Nebraska. He was an Ohio State kid. Listen, I have zero connection to the kid, but in my gut I think thats the centerpiece.”"

Nationally, it appears that the tide is turning Nebraska football’s way. The On3 prediction machine currently has Raiola going to Ohio State as a 48 percent probability but the Huskers are close behind at 37 percent.

247Sports currently has the Buckeyes as the massive favorite but most of those predictions are from earlier this spring. The only prediction that’s been entered for this month is by OU Insider’s Parker Thune. He’s 3-for-3 when it comes to 2024 commitments so far. He’s selected Nebraska football as the favorite to land Dylan Raiola.
