The Nebraska Cornhuskers are going to be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Memorial stadium and it turns out that there’s going to be a big discount when it comes to season tickets in order to help shine the light on the team. The added bonus is that the Nebraska football team’s tickets will also help with the sellout issue.

Earlier this week, Trev Alberts announced that the season ticket prices will be reduced by about $100. The seven-game tickets will be offered at $320 this coming season. In 2022 the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ home slate cost $420.

There aren’t a whole lot details offered about those prices. It seems there’s a chance they will still have the donation needed. That could tamp down the excitement over the prospective savings being offered.

Other Nebraska Cornhuskers News

While the Nebraska Volleyball team’s season is over, there is going to be at least one former Husker in Omaha in the very near future. Dani Busboom-Kelly is bringing her Lousiville Cardinals team to the final four. Busboom-Kelly is just the latest former Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball player that has turned her playing career into a successful coaching career.

In Big Ten news, the UCLA move to the conference is officially on. There had been some talk that the UC Regents might block the move. The Pac-12 commissioner was spearheading those efforts. However, thanks to an 11-5 vote, the Bruins can join USC in the Big Ten in 2024.

College Football News

Following Mike Leach sadly passing away earlier this week, Mississippi State football needs to move forward at some point. To that end the Bulldogs promoted defensive coordinator Zach Arnett and gave him a four-year contract.

Nearby the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Iowa Western C.C. won itself its second national title in the Junior College ranks. Not only is it big news because the school is close to the Huskers but it could continue to be a kind of feeder school in the next few years.
