Almost since the day Scott Frost got here, the Husker world has been consumed by talk about “culture” Frost likely meant that he didn’t feel as though his predecessor was instilling the right kind of attitude in the team’s players.
Now, in year five, culture is still the talk of the day, only this time, and at least this week, it’s all about trying to find out who is going to lead this team that has quite a lot of new faces on it. That and more is highlighted in today’s Nebraska football Go Big Read.

This story, from Evan Bland at the Omaha World-Herald highlights that transfer quarterback Casey Thompson is trying to become more of a vocal leader for his Husker teammates. Despite that, there’s quite a bit of talk about a need throughout the program for other people to step up.
Also from the World-Herald, Dirk Chatelain takes a look at the arrival of Devin Drew on Campus. Drew is a transfer defensive lineman from Texas Tech that the Nebraska football coaching staff has been waiting on for most of the summer.
SI.Com reported on a new effort to try and break the curse of bad football that has plagued Nebraska for so long. KLIN and 1620 the Zone are teaming up to put on a show and concert that will aim at putting some good juju around the program.
