Nebraska football has a big announcement on Friday. That big announcement is in regards to their new football facility. At 3:30 PM that day, they will break ground on it.

It seems like just yesterday that they announced that they would halt the project due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, things are ready to begin in earnest.

This is going to be a big weekend for the Nebraska football program. Recruits are going to see the beginnings of what is sure to be a very nice facility. This has been a project that has been talked about for quite a while within the Nebraska athletic department, and now we are seeing it finally start to unfold. It should be beautiful once completed, and it will undoubtedly help the program in recruiting among other things.

It seems like we have been talking about this facility forever, and now this project can begin in earnest. You see it all the time. Big-time college football programs constantly wow recruits with their new facilities. Now, Nebraska will have the chance to do that themselves. Especially in a competitive conference like the Big Ten, they definitely need to keep up with the rest of the conference. There are a lot of teams that can get a lot of talented players into their respective programs.

I’ll be excited to see how it comes out. We have already seen a bunch of blueprints in regards to how it will come out, but there is nothing like seeing a finished product. I remember my school built an entirely new athletic facility while I was there, and it helped recruiting immensely. Not only that, it looked extremely nice on campus, and gave more room for the football team to work out and things like that. I suspect the same thing will happen for Nebraska.

In what is sure to be a big weekend, this is certainly a great way to start things off. This will definitely be able to help Nebraska in the future, and it will allow them to really be able to establish themselves in the weight room among other things. I’m excited to see how it all turns out.
